Bristol-based alternative-R&B artist Laura Dia returns with her new single “Butterfly,” marking the beginning of a new era after a period of creative re-discovery. Following her debut EP Oh, Dia, she earned support from Team Love Productions and performed at major UK festivals including Glastonbury, Boomtown, Love Saves the Day and Forwards Festival, while developing her sound under the guidance of mentors such as Sam Interface and Javeon. Her growth continued through Saffron Records — the Bristol CIC championing women and non-binary producers — where she received mentorship from Grove, Ikonika and Pops Roberts. Written and produced with New York collaborator xixn!, “Butterfly” is an ethereal, nostalgic R&B offering that sits between Ravyn Lenae, Cari and Natanya, firmly establishing Laura Dia’s otherworldly lane within contemporary R&B.
